" Memory of Dato Chin Chun Swee Trophy 2013 "

A shooting tournament namely Dato Chin Chun Swee Trophy organized by KMKS was held on 18-19 May 2013 . The competition was held at KMKS Shooting Range and invitations were opens to all shooting clubs in Malaysia. Selangor Shooting Association and Penang Riffle Club  were among the clubs who represented in the competition.

The tournament was an annual activity held by KMKS in order to promote shooting sport to members and also to the society in Kulim, Kedah.  Dato Chin Chun Swee Trophy is carried out annually by the club in conjunction with Dato Chin Chun Swee's name , president of KMKS who plays many roles at early stage to present of the club.

Preparations were done successfully to welcome all the guests to our main tournament of the year.  Preparations were including practices, facilities, paper works and budgets . All the experience shooters of the club held their practice well and on last minutes they double up their shooting practices. As for the committee members, they are very important parts of the tournament. They work hard to ensure all facilities at shooting range works effectively till the day come.  Thank to all of them who work really hard for the club competition.

 The competition was held with pomp and splendor.  There is only Trap Event contested on the tournament.  At  8.00 a.m, all candidate are asked to register their name before the competition were carried out. Elections were done to  determine the turns for 24 shooters. Scoring and jury system are used to ensure the best shoot and winners. The juries for the competition were Mr. Benson Low and Mr. Ramjit Singh. All the score generated on scored board are then computerized and printed as sheet according to numbers of round. There are nearly 5 rounds an each rounds need 25 time shoots. 12 bore bullets  and shotguns were used in the competition. At noon, all the shooters seem tired. However for me as spectators of the competition and also as news repoter, it was a happy moment for all shooters from different states could gather and experience sweet moments in the competition.

Lunch were supplied from Restaurant Haji Mannan for all who attended and involved in the competition. At 3.30 p.m the results were announced by Mr. Sutharat Nai Charm. The winner for the 1^st place under individual event was Mr. Leong Wei Heng from Kelab Menembak Kedah Selatan (KMKS)  and for the team event, club form Selangor Shooting Association (SSA) had winned for  1^st and 2^nd place in the competition.

The competition ended successfully at 4.00 pm. All the members of the clubs give their hand as a words to say goodbye. This competition really a good memory for all the committee members as it was a sign of satisfaction to be a host in organizing shooting competition for the year.
