HANDGUN BASIC - SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL

Here are some informations to share about gun. Semi-Automatic Pistol are commonly called as  Automatic or auto. The Semi - Automatic is actully refers to only firearms that fire continously when the triggeris held down. An auto has only 1 chamber, which integral  part of the barrel. It has no cylinder. The cartridges are loaded into a metal magazine or clip. The clip then inserted in the handle of the pistol. The clip cotain a spring, which pushes the cartridges upward for feeding into the chamber.

This is a type of handgun which uses a single chamber and barrel, with a mechanism powered by the previous shot to load a fresh cartridge into the chamber. One round is fired each time the trigger of a semi-automatic pistol is pulled.

A semi-automatic pistol harnesses the energy of one shot to reload the chamber for the next, typically via recoil operation, blowback, or gas operation. After a round is fired, the spent casing is ejected and a new round from the magazine is loaded into the chamber, allowing another shot to be fired as soon as the trigger is again pulled.

When semi auto is fired, the force of the recoil is used to drive back the slide. As the slide flies backward, the empty cartridge case is extracted from the chamber and thrown out through the ejector port. The rearward force of the slide also cocks the hammer. Some don't have hammer.but use a spring-loaded firing pin, like a rifle. The basic principle is still the same.
