Good day. Here are the lists of public holidays for year 2014 in which club will not be operating on the following dates:-

I as the representative of the Club Committee Members, would like to take this opportunity to wish all the members a Happy Chinese New Year to all the members of the club.

SOON CHENG SAI TROPHY 2013 IN KULIM,KEDAH

On 06^th until – 08^th December 2013 an annual shooting competition , Soon Cheng Sai Trophy was held successfully at Kelab Menembak Kedah Selatan shooting range.  The tournament was opened for all members of the club and  invitations were extended to other shooting clubs namely Selangor Shooting Association (SSA), Penang Rifle Club (PRC ), Johor Clay Target (JCT) and Perlis Shooting Association (PMP). As usual, all preparations were made earlier to ensure the flow of the day was well organized.

The only event contested in the competition was Trap Event as main event for the club activity. On 06^th December 2013, all  participants were asked to register at the counter bar and undergoes their last training before the day of competition as a first experience on the new shooting range.

On 07^th December until 08^th December 2013, elections were conducted to determine turns for all participants and competition started with glories . Shooting event were divided into individual and team event. An estimated total of about 35 participants were participate in the competition. Scoring system used to score and determine the winner. Juries invited for this year competition were Mr. Benson Low and Mr. Ranjit Singh.

Competition ended successfully at 4.00 pm. All the members of the clubs give their hand as a words to say goodbye.

SAFETY MESSAGE TO YOUNGSTERS ABOUT FIREARMS RESPONSIBILITIES

At one time where firearms are readily available, parents have often being careless and put firearms in places accessible children. News of the death of a child due to parental neglect handle firearms often heard. Therefore, the advice to children and young adults are: -

1. Don’t go looking for firearms in you seen in movies, in your house or a friend’s house. Don’t let other kids look for firearms in your house.

2. If you find a firearm in your house — oranywhere else — leave it alone. Don’t touch it!Don’t let anyone else touch it! Tell an adult.

3. Even if a firearm looks like a toy — don’t touch it! Some real firearms look like toys. Don’t take a chance. Tell an adult.

Sherlock Holmes and Watson JOKES

  Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson went on a hunting trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine they lay down for the night, and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend awake. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

      Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "Watson, you idiot. Someone has stolen our tent."

CROW SHOOTING OPERATION

Crows combat operations is an organized activity aimed at reducing the population of crows in some areas. Behalf of the club participated in activities organized by the MPSP.

According to the Wildlife Department, crows that breed too many problems for the local residents including noise, especially in the morning and evening.
